Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: - Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

Your safari guide will be readily available waiting to welcome and cheer you up as you transfer to your hotel in Entebbe. You will drive along with a view the vast fresh water lake, view of the famous old Entebbe airport and its history in relation to the Israel war. Proceed to your hotel at Papyrus guesthouse Entebbe

Day 2. Kampala City Tour Experience

Your guide picks you up from the hotel to start the city tour to explore the historical places of Uganda such as Kabaka’s palace and Amin torture chambers, Bahai Temple the only one in Africa, Namugongo martyr’s shrines (where twenty-two Christian convicts were killed under Kabaka (King of Buganda)-Mwanga), Uganda National Museum. Have lunch break and proceed to check out the Ghadafi Mosque, which has amazing architectural designs from across Africa and Asia, time allowing visit any local agricultural markets. Retire the day at your hotel. Overnight at Maries Royale Hotel

Day 3:- Transfer to Jinja – Source of the Nile River Exploration

Today is the day to explore the world’s longest River – The Mighty River Nile. We start the day with a lazy breakfast and get ready to Move Eastwards crossing Mabira central forest (Largest in central Uganda) and various sugar plantations that form an amazing scenery until we reach the Nile River. Check in at your next home away from home getting ready for an active evening exploring the Nile River, which will include a boat trip to the source of the Nile, Speak Monument and the famous Mahatma Gandhi Monument. Time allowing we can as well visit the Busowoko waterfalls, which forms one of the remaining great rapids on the Nile River. Dinner and Overnight at Kingfisher resort Jinja -

Day 4; - Transfer to Sipi falls – Hike to the two Sipi falls and later the coffee and community experience - Optional Abseiling on Sipi falls  

After warm breakfast at leisure, you shall depart to Sipi falls in Kapchorwa district on a plateau 1800m above sea level. (Eastern Uganda) northeastern of Sironko and Mbale. The town looks fantastic since it is located on the foot of mountain Elgon. The Sipi River flows over the foothills of Mount Elgon, forming a spectacular series of waterfalls (some nearly 100m high), surrounded by village walking trails and lush green coffee-producing hills. Hike to the two Sipi falls and later the coffee and community experience, the trail is a little steep and puzzling as you pass through banana and coffee plantations but very rewarding because you shall enjoy a photo moment with your camera as the falls and caves under are very beautiful! Save your memory as you leave this beautiful country of nature later, we shall head back to the lodge for a mouthwatering lunch and after go to the coffee project one of the places where great coffee is processed you may even get a chance to take a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Dinner and overnight stay at Rafik lodge. -

Day 5; - Explore Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve then proceed to Moroto

The day starts with the sights and sounds of nature and a wakeup call from the amazing sounds of Sipi falls. Enjoy your breakfast and then proceed for game viewing in the pristine Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve. Pian Upe is located between Mt. Elgon NP and Kidepo Valley NP, established as a game (wildlife) reserve in the 1960s. The Reserve is part of the Mount Elgon Conservation Area (MECA).

While in Pian Upe, look out for its inhabitants such as ostriches, common elands, plain zebras, the greater kudu, savanna monitor lizards and the only remaining numbers of roan antelope in the whole of Uganda. It is also only in Pian Upe that you may have the chance to see cheetahs while on a Uganda safari. After the game viewing and of course (packed) lunch, exit Pian Upe then head to Moroto. Overnight at Kara – Tunga safari camp

Day 6. Cycling / Mount Moroto & Karamojong Cultural Immersion – Off the Beaten Track

With breakfast at leisure, start the day with either cycling around the Karamajong communities or short hike to Mount Moroto as we get ready for Karamojong community Immersion.  Have a relaxed lunch and target an evening visit to the biggest Karamojong village in East Africa to learn more about their socio – cultural and economic life. Not everyone would dare miss a thrilling cultural experience. Overnight At La Mansion Kotido

Day 7; - Transfer to Kidepo valley national park – Possible evening game drive

After your delicious warm breakfast, drive to Kidepo valley national park near Uganda-Sudan boarder. This park is commonly known as the true expression of African wilderness. Upon arrival, you will be thrilled by amazing views of this virgin conservation area. Have a game drive en route to your lodge. Kidepo national park has the largest number of buffaloes in the whole of East Africa. Later proceed to the park for your dinner and overnight stay at Kidepo Savannah Lodge

Day 8; - Morning and evening game drive at Kidepo national park

  Have an early morning breakfast and head to one of the most interesting national parks in Africa. While there, you may have the opportunity to view cheetahs, ostriches, big herds of buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, elephants among other animal species not forgetting the park has over 476 bird species that can be viewed making this safari much more interesting and a must go for bird watchers. Please do not forget to carry your binoculars. Not just that you will discover Narus river from where most of the animals and birds use as a drinking place to enhance their survival in the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Kidepo Savannah Lodge

Day 9;– Guided Walking safari in Kidepo valley national park and Transfer to Gulu

 This day after breakfast, you will go on a nature walk for about 2 hours through the park with an armed ranger. He will guide you and tell you about the park and about the birds, wildlife, shrubs, flora among many others. You will then return to check out at the lodge before driving to Gulu city. Dinner and overnight at African Roots Guesthouse Gulu.

Day 10: - On Foot, rhino trekking at Ziwa rhino sanctuary and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park - The Giraffe Paradise!

 With an early breakfast, we depart the crazy city of Kampala in the morning for the start of your Murchison Falls national park safari. En route, we shall have a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking. This is the only place to see rhinos in Uganda in the wild. You will have an early hot lunch before continuing the drive via the famous Kaniyo Pabidi (Budongo Forest) and visit the top of the tranquil Murchison and Uhuru falls as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice producing a rainbow trademark.

We take the evening at leisure with a game drive through the park as we head to check in at our cozy home away from home. Overnight at Hornbill Bush Lodge-

NB – Top of the falls can be visited on either day 1 or day depending on the time

Day 11; - Game drive and boat cruise to the bottom of the fall and visit to the Top

 A brighter day starts with coffee break and this will be the order of the day as we get ready for a full day exploration of Murchison falls national park with a morning and evening game drive including a thrilling boat cruise on the Victoria Nile.  You have the chance of seeing big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffalos, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76. We continue browsing the Drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals. Enjoy a relaxed lunch and then have a 3-hour boat ride to the base of the falls where you get to see the Hippos (You have never seen more hippos yawning, grooming in their Pods anywhere else than here- Believe me you)! Nile Crocodiles, Elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the banks. If you are a keen birder, this might be your magnet to catch them. Continue with the hike to visit the top of the falls. This is a magnificent classic highlight on our 2nd day as an explosive dash of water at close range gushes through a narrow crevice. Day 12: Launch cruise to the Nile Delta Point– Transfer to the Rift valley Escarpment

With a lazy breakfast, enjoy the last glimpse of Murchison falls national park with a thrilling launch cruise to the Nile Delta. You will be amazed by the abundance of birds on the riverbank and many animals quenching their thirsty with the Nile waters. Have lunch and transfer to spend the night at the Rift valley escarpment overlooking Lake Albert and the fascinating blue mountain of DR Congo. Overnight at Kikonko Lodge

Day 13:– Transfer day to Kibale Forest National park – Evening visit to the Top of the World

With a lazy breakfast, we start the day with a transfer to Kibale national park – The primate capital of the world. Check in at your cosy accommodation overlooking the rain forest. In the evening, visit the Top of the world before proceeding to the check in at your cosy home away from home. Dinner, overnight at Isunga Lodge or Chimpanzee Forest lodge

Day 14: - Chimpanzee trekking day – and afternoon Bigodi wetland nature walk.

Head into the forest of the Primate City of Kibale in the morning for chimpanzee trekking. This is a three-hour experience. As an option, you can upgrade to participating in Chimpanzee habituation, where you get to follow the chimps for the whole day, a truly exclusive experience (this is an optional activity and is not included in the stated price. Inform us when booking if you wish to do the habituation). Kibale Forest national park is a rainy forest and a home to over 1500 Chimpanzees. Here you have the chance to see the chimps close up and capture shots of our closet cousins in the jungle in their frenzy exciting moods as they are grooming, building relationships, bringing up young ones, think and sharing food, plus rare bird species following them. In the forest, 9 different species of Monkeys are found so you have chances of seeing red colobus, red tailed monkey and bush babies on a great day. After the trek, your guide picks you and takes you back to the lodge. Relax for lunch and in the afternoon Bigodi nature and community walk. Overnight isunga lodge or Chimpanzee Forest Lodge -

Day 15;– Crater Lake Exploration and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park – Game drive through the crater drive.

With breakfast at leisure, we explore the historical crater lakes along the way as we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges (Longest in Africa) in View or Drive through the Crater lakes in the Hills through to sample out the surprising Diversity of Savannah trees and wild life! Also, visit the Katwe salt mines. With your Binoculars along the peninsula, you have a magnificent view of Birds, animals like the ever-playing African Elephants in Waters as we sigh and reset Fatigue and stress, to point zero (it is necessary on this day’s game view). Dinner and overnight at Pumba Safari Cottages

Day 16: - Full day Queen Elizabeth National – Morning game Drive and evening boat cruise on Kazinga channel.

We kick start the day with an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along the and many more species that are residents to this park. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland sports as we reach the Flamingos in the salt lakes. - at 2pm and get ready for the Classic highlights on the 2hrs Boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel 36kms linking Lake George - lake Edward, land and water Adapted Hippopotamuses Yawning and some slashing canines to each other and the National Geographical society Killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the Banks ! Savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King is a hallmark sign in this Animal home! Of Mamaland Uganda. Dinner and overnight at Pumba safari Cottages.

Day 17: - Mid Morning Game drive in Ishasha sector – Tree Climbing Lions – Queen Elizabeth National park – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park.

We will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with Topis, and the southern version of Elephants to get the Lions high in the Fig tree branches normally after midday game view drive under the thorny savannah trees, transfer Bwindi Impenetrable forest - Home of the endangered Mountain gorillas. Overnight stay at Gorilla Mist Camp or Buhoma Community Rest Camp

Day 18: - Living with Mountain Gorilla trekking - Bwindi Impenetrable forest

Head into the impenetrable forest for a close encounter with the Mountain Gorillas. Spend a day tracking the endangered Mountain Gorilla, spending up to an hour among them. See mothers keeping infants close as they knuckle walk on three limbs. Watch scampering toddlers reined in by an attentive father before having a bush packed lunch. This day we spend the night in the middle of Africa’s second deepest Lake on Kyahugye Island on Lake Bunyonyi. Have a relaxed evening as you stare at the fascinating lake of many birds from the veranda of your cosy cottage. Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort.

Day 20: - Extra Day at Lake Bunyonyi – Design your Day

This is a day to relax and reflect on how your long safari has been. Design your day with optional activities around the island, which may include community immersion, canoe ride, Batwa experience, among others. overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort.

Day 21: - Transfer to Lake Mburo, the ‘Zebra magnet’ – Evening Game drive

With breakfast at leisure, we cross the lake with a speedboat or motorized canoe to the main land as we wave goodbye to the stunning Lake of many birds. We continue our drive towards Lake Mburo national park. We reach the park in time for lunch at the lodge. (You can decide to have a short swim at the lodge to cool off the body) In the afternoon we game-drive for view of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and Impalas.  Overnight in Rwakobo rock lodge -

Day 22: - Early morning walking Safari Lake Mburo – Transfer to Entebbe Airport

Start the day with an early breakfast and take a guided walking safari through Lake Mburo savannah with chances to see Leopards, zebras, waterbucks, birds buffaloes in there day break jungle life!

Afterwards, get ready for the drive to Entebbe with a stopover at equator for photo moments and Lunch. Drive back to Entebbe to and check in to your next flight back home.
