Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, our representative / driver guide will be readily available waiting to welcome and cheer you up and afterwards transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe to relax after the flight and be ready for tomorrows adventures. Overnight at Papyrus guesthouse
With breakfast, we leave Entebbe in the early morning and be ready for a long drive. Make a stop at the Equator for some photos on the point where the southern and northern hemisphere meets. Continue on past the towns of Masaka and Mbarara and to drive through the tea estates and beyond the Kalinzu forest. Check in at the lodge and enjoy a relax abit as you get ready for launch cruise along the Kazinga channel stectch. The cruise takes approximately 2-3 hrs on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36kms channel linking Lake George to Lake Edward. From the boat you can spot land and water adapted Hippopotamuses yawning and some slashing canines to each other, the National Geographical society killing machine the Nile Crocodile gaping along the banks, savannah version of Pigs the Warthog- Pumba of the award winning Lion King are a hallmark sign in this animal home as well as many diferent birds. After breakfast we head over to Kyambura Gorge to trek chimpanzees and enjoy the sounds of the jungle. After the trekking drive back to the lodge for lunch as you get ready to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park in an evening game-drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffalos, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the circuits as we drive along the and many more species that are residents to this park. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the wetland sports as we reach the Flamingoes in the salt lakes. Overnight Pumba safari cottages
With an early breakfast, we leave the lodge heading to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth most known for her fascinating tree climbing lions. We will drive off in this adventurous vast savanna area with Topis and the southern version of Elephants to hopefully get the Lions high in the fig tree branches as our hightlight for the day. Transfer on to the Impenetrable forest of Bwindi a home to the endangered Mountain gorillas. The journey takes us through a changing landscape from savanna via cultivated hills to forest covered mountains. Overnight at Buhoma community rest camp
Head into the impenetrable forest for a close encounter with the Mountain Gorillas. Spend a day tracking the endangered Mountain Gorilla, spending up to an hour among them. See mothers keeping infants close as they knuckle walk on three limbs. Watch scampering toddlers reined in by an attentive father before having a bush packed lunch. This day we spend the night in the middle of Africa’s second deepest Lake on Kyahugye Island on Lake Bunyonyi. With breakfast at lesisure, we cross the lake with a speed boat or motorised canoe to the main land as we wave goodbye to the stunning Lake of many birds. We continue our drive towards Lake Mburo national park. We reach the park in time for lunch at the lodge. (you can decide to have a short swim at the lodge to cool off the body) In the afternoon we game-drive for view of Zebras, Topis, Warthogs, cape buffaloes and Impalas. Overnight in Rwakobo rock lodge
Start the day early with a safari walk getting you close to nature. A walk with zebras, wathogs, waterbucks, birds and buffaloes in there day break jungle life. After the safari walk you have breakfast at the lodge before setting of for Entebbe as we have reached the end of amazing 7 days Uganda safari. We reach Entebbe in the afternoon and you can arrange for an evening flight or add a night in Entebbe to fly the next day.
