You might be wondering if Uganda can give you the big 5 safari experience. There’s no doubt in this and it’s among the reasons why “Uganda is The Pearl of Africa” as stated by Sir Winston Churchill. Murchison falls being the largest conservation area, lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the sweeping Bunyoro escarpment tumbles into vast, palm-dotted savanna. First gazetted as a game reserve in 1926, it is Uganda's largest and oldest conservation area, hosting 76 species of mammals and 451 birds.
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary being located on the way to this magnificent conservation area, makes it the only place where you have higher chances to experience the big 5 encounter.
Like the title suggests, Queen Elizabeth national park is a medley of wonders! Set against the backdrop of the jagged Rwenzori Mountains, the park’s magnificent vistas include dozens of enormous craters carved dramatically into rolling green hills, panoramic views of the Kazinga Channel with its banks lined with hippos, buffalo and elephants, and the endless Ishasha plains, whose fig trees hide lions ready to pounce on herds of unsuspecting Uganda kob. It makes it truly the medley of wonders!
The equator line that divides the world into two at latitude 0 degrees, whose monument is on either side of the road, adds more spices to the already endowed park
On top of the above, a visitor has got a chance to track chimpanzees (Human cousins) either in the famous Kyambura gorge or Kalinzu forest reserve. A mix of savannah and the forest has never disappointed.
Kidepo could be the most remote National Park but visitors to this incredible adventure point never get disappointed.
