Day 1- Arrival Entebbe International Airport

Upon arrival in Entebbe, our safari representative will be readily available to welcome you at the airport and transfer to your accommodation in Entebbe.

Day 2 - Entebbe – Kibale Forest National Park - Visit The Top of The World

After breakfast with driver/guide will set off to Western Uganda, to Fort Portal. This lively town is the base for activities around Kibale Forest National Park. The national park offers one of the most varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda, 70 mammal species and 13 primate species.  In the afternoon we take on crater lakes exploration with a stunnuing visit to the Top of the world.

The drive takes 5 to 7 hours so we will arrive in time in Fort Portal for lunch.

Day 3 - Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Wetland Walk

Today, visit Kibale forest, home to over 11 species of primates, a rich bird life of close to 370 species and an array of butterflies. After breakfast, we will advance for our chimpanzee trek, traversing the eternally surreal Ituri Rainforest. Watch the tailends chimpanzees dissipate into the forests as they sense a human presence along the trail. Later in the evenning, you will go on a guided primate walk in the Bigodi wetland Sanctually.

Day 4 – Tea Plantation Experience and Boat Cruise Along Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park

With a lazy Breakfast, we shall get ready for the black tea plantaion experience. Join the local community / farmers to harvest the tea leaves. Learn more how tea is planted, the steps involved in processing until you enjoy that hot cup of tea! 

Head out to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the scond largest protected area in Uganda. It is the most popular park in Uganda as it offers diverse ecosystems, classic big game, 10 primate species and over 600 bird species. You will enjoy a 2-3 hours boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel which Joins Lake George and Edward - Look out for the large schools of hippos, clockdiles as they enjoy a cool evening sun bath.

Day 5 - Full Day Queen Elizabeth National Park - Game Drive in North and Souther sector - Ishasha sector

Enjoy another day at Queen Elizabeth National Park, traversing the famous Ishasha region, home to the tree-climbing lions, a sight seldom seen anywhere else in Africa. Known for Blue Lake, the Bat and Hunter’s Cave, this area is also a mating ground for the Uganda Kob, bats, rock python and forest cobras that devour bats.

Day 6 – Ishasha tree climbing game drives and transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

As you are warming up for the gorilla tracking… We start the day with a game drive to look for tree climbing lionsin Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth before having a relaxed lunch at the lodge.  We then drive further south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is of Uganda´s oldest and most diverse rainforests. The “impenetrable” forest is also home to more than 320 mountain gorillas, 400 species of plants, 120 species of mammals and over 350 species of birds.

 Day 7 – Mountain Gorilla Encounter – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

The most exciting day of your safari, the briefing is at 8 am and you will learn about gorilla etiquette. And then you will start walking and hiking in the impenetrable forest until you find the gorillas. For one hour you are allowed to watch those majestic giants! Depending on the duration of the track you can either relax in the afternoon at the lodge and just enjoy the view or go for another walk around and explore the village or walk up to the highest football field with the best view ever. Also today, you will carry a packed lunch.

Day 8 –  Transfer to Kigali or Entebbe for outbound flight
