Safari in details

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Upon arrival, our safari representative will highly be available to welcome and cheer you up as you transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to your hotel in Arusha. Our staff will answer all your queries regarding your upcoming safari and provide you with a short briefing as well. Get enough rest to overcome the jet lag at your accommodation at Arusha Villa or Arusha Planet Lodge

Day 2: Transfer to Explore Tarangire National Park

With a lazy breakfast, your guide will pick you up and proceed to Tarangire National park one of the largest national park in Tanzania located in Manyara region, this place is characterized by the large herds of elephants, tree climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees also called the Tree of Life for its almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for Tarangire River which flows all year round and the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Simba Lodge or Escarpment Luxury Lodge

Day 3: Transfer from Tarangire to Serengeti Central (Seronera)

After breakfast, you will drive up into the cooler regions of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be a chance to stop and see the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. You will then transit through Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti.

The Serengeti is truly spectacular. It is famous for its vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. The Serengeti boasts an abundance of wildlife such as giraffes, impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos. In addition to the iconic landscapes, you have a good chance of encountering predators and you may see lions, cheetahs and leopards.
After your game drive, you will head towards your accommodation in time for dinner. Overnight at Into Wild Africa Tented Camp

Day 4: Transfer to Mara Region of Northern Serengeti - Kogatende area - Maraa River Crossing

Enjoy your breakfast at leisure and depart for the northern part of Serengeti as we chess the wildebeest Migration. In the evening, we plan to be at the Mara river bank as we target the evening crossing of the great migration.  River crossings at Kogatende is guaranteed every day in from August to October as the mega herd settles into the area.  For August, September and October, game viewing up here is superb with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day.  There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses.  Retire the day at Acacia Migration Camp or Heritage Migration Camp

Day 5: Wildebeest Migration Day – Northern Serengeti - Maraa River Crossing

Start the day with an early breakfast coupled with an early morning river game drive to view the great migration. Get ready for a long day in the wilderness with picnic lunch. The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the “big five”, named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion: The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard: these reclusive predators are commonly seen in the Seronera region but are present throughout the national park. In the evening we head back to the camp to retire the day. Overnight at Acacia Migration Camp or Heritage Migration Camp

Day 6: Last Wildebeest River Crossing and Transfer Seronera

After breakfast, you will have another chance to experience the Mara River crossing before you slowly return to Central Serengeti, with an en-route game drive.  Everyday in the Serengeti plains is so unique and there is always plenty to explore.Dinner and overnight at Into Wild Africa Tented Camp

Day 7: Transfer from Serengeti for Ngorongoro Crater Rim Experience

With an early breakfast, proceed with a morning game drive as we say goodbye to the Magnificient Serengeti plains looking forward to descending into the famous Ngorongoro crater rim.  It’s a half day game drive down the crater rim.

The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. Dinner and Overnight at Eilleen's Tree Inn Karatu or Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge 

Day 8: – Cultural experience in Mto Wa Mbu – Transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International airport

With an early breakfast, we drive to mto wa mbu (River of mosquitoes) for a morning cultural tour and walking safari. We can decide to have a lavish local lunch in the areas before we head back to Arusha or to the airport for your flight back home with lots of African memories.
