African Finfoot Safaris (“we”, “us”) is a safari company based in Kampala, Uganda. This policy explains what personal information we collect through africanfinfootsafaris.com, why we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect
- Booking and enquiry forms: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, the destinations and tour you are interested in, trip length, group size and anything you write in your message.
- Reviews: the name, email address, ratings and comments you submit.
- Live chat and WhatsApp: the messages and contact details you share with us.
- Payments: online payments are handled by Pesapal on its own secure system. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, how you reached our site, and whether you sent an enquiry. This comes from cookies and similar technology, as described below.
How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry, plan your safari and manage your booking.
- To book services on your behalf, such as lodges, flights, permits and guides.
- To take payment and keep business records.
- To understand how our website is used and improve it.
- To measure our advertising and, if you agree, show you relevant advertising.
- To keep our website secure and meet our legal obligations.
Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal grounds: taking steps to arrange and deliver your trip, your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies), our legitimate interest in running and protecting our business, and our legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time.

- Travel suppliers such as lodges, airlines, guides and park authorities, when needed to deliver your trip.
- Google for Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Maps.
- tawk.to for live chat, and WhatsApp if you choose to message us there.
- Pesapal to process payments.
- TripAdvisor and Trustindex, which supply the reviews shown on our pages.
- GTranslate, which provides the website language selector.
- Service providers that host and secure our website and email.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Google advertising and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand website use, and Google Ads to measure whether our adverts lead to enquiries. Google may collect information through cookies and use it under its own policies. Cookies
Cookies are small files saved on your device. You choose whether to allow optional cookies when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings, which is also in the website footer.
- Essential: needed for the website, forms, security and remembering your cookie choice. These are always on.
- Analytics (optional): Google Analytics cookies, such as _ga, which help us understand how the website is used.
- Advertising (optional): Google Ads cookies, such as _gcl_au, which measure adverts and can be used to personalise them.
- Third-party features: the live chat, reviews, maps and payment tools may set their own cookies when they load.
International transfers
We operate from Uganda and work with suppliers and service providers in other countries, so your information may be handled outside your home country, including outside the European Economic Area and the UK. Where required, we take steps to protect it when it is transferred.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry or trip, keep required business records, and resolve any disputes. We then delete it or make it anonymous.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, you may have the right to access your information, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent. To make a request, email info@africanfinfootsafaris.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Our website is intended for adults planning travel. Information about children travelling on a family trip should be provided by a parent or guardian.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
