Bordering Congo and Uganda, the park encompasses 4,507m-tall Mt. Karisimbi and 4 other forested volcanoes. But first, we’ll take the adventure spirit the beautiful Kigali city, the nation’s sprawling capital that has a vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene. Then later the excitement will be will be tested on a gorilla trekking Ruanda adventure up the jungles of Virunga Mountains. Brace yourself for a mixture of unfamiliar feelings like fear, excitement, bewilderment, quiet and a sudden burst of brain chemicals when a silverback male gorilla gets up and slaps his chest to let you know who is boss in the jungle. Today after taking your lazy breakfast, you will checkout of the hotel and drive
to visit the Kigali genocide memorial centre, to learn from what happened during the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi whereby 1 million Rwandans were killed in only 100 days. Later after lunch you will proceed with a drive to Volcanoes National Park to your booked accommodation, spend the rest of the evening relaxing and preparing for the next day’s trekking.
After an early morning breakfast. After a short briefing about dos and don’ts about gorilla trekking at the park headquarter, you will enter forest in search of the gorillas. The trekking may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in the jungle and your group speed as well. Meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour.

Ellen DeGeneres Campus and learn more about the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund initiative.
Breakfast and enjoy the beautiful scenery one more time before immersing ourselves with the Rwanda cultures at Ibyiwacu culture village or The Gorilla Gurdians. We shall get our early lunch as we calmly transfer back to Kigali with great views via the rolling hills. Depending on the time of your international flight you will be dropped at Kigali International Airport.
