Central Serengeti ) with an evening game drive. The Serengeti plains are truly spectacular and famous for their vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. The Serengeti boasts an abundance of wildlife such as giraffes, impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos. In addition to the iconic landscapes, you have a good chance of encountering predators and you may see lions, cheetahs and leopards. After your game drive, you will head towards your accommodation in time for dinner.
Its yet another day to explore the Magnificient Serengeti during an extraordinary full day game drive exploring the Seronera Area. With a more relaxed day a head, we shall do early morning and late afternoon game drives, returning to your accommodation for a hot lunch and some relaxation. Everyday in the Serengeti plains is so unique and there is always plenty to explore.
After breakfast, we shall have a game drive through Serengeti hoping to see more predators and other wildlife as we head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, look out for giraffes as they make they way down the lush slopes. Our target is to go down the crater Rim before lunch time.
The Ngorongoro Crater at first sight looks like a forgotten world. Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps. The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. The drive down into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands. After the Crater Rimexploration, we shall check out and head to Karatu for an overnight.
After breakfast, you will drive to
Lake Manyara National Park for a half day Game viewing. This is a relatively small but diverse park, 120km west of Arusha. The park’s namesake is a shallow, salt lake. It covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and
is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.
On your exploration of the park you will see monkeys, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant and with some luck, lions lounging in the trees. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains, but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs.
We can decide to have a lavish local lunch in the areas before we head back to Arusha or to the airport for your flight back home with lots of African memories.
Bonne Voyage!
