Kenya Reserve and Conservation fees for 2024 – 2025

Knowing the updated 2024 – 2025 Kenya conservation fees will help you plan your dream and magical safari. As the New Year keep unfolding, many safari enthusiasts are now trying to tick off some adventures on their bucket lists. Kenya being a premier adventure destination in Africa, many safari fanatics are looking forward to their dream adventures in this top-notch country.

According to Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS), 2024 will oversee a significant increase in the entry and conservation fees for twenty-five (25) terrestrial national parks, twenty-nine (29) terrestrial national reserves, (4) four marine national parks, (6) six marine national reserves, (6) six national wildlife sanctuaries, and three (3) captive wildlife management facilities including the world’s renown Masai Mara National Reserve.  The prime goal of KWS is to guarantee these natural treasures are effectively conserved for future generations

With Masai Mara leading the list, lets share with you the updated fees which are divided into sections including;-

  • Low season that stretches from 01st March to 30th June
  • High season which goes through 01st July to 29th February 
  • East African Citizen / Resident. These include members of the East African Community states of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan with valid passports or National IDs.
  • Rest of Africa
  • International Non Residents
  • Residents. These refers to persons of other nationalities residing in Kenya with valid documentation from the Kenyan government

Regardless of whether you overnight inside or outside the park, Masai Mara National reserve are the same. According to KWS, The updated Masai Mara National reserve entrance fees for 2024 to 2025 are as follows;-

Low season rates from 01st March to 30th June

  • Adult foreign nonresidents pay USD 100 whereas children and students of the same status pay USD 50. All rates are per person per day
  • Adult East African Residents pay KSH 4500 whereas children and students of the same status pay KSH 2, 000. All rates are per person per day
  • Adult Kenya citizens pay KSH 4500 whereas children and students of the same status pay KSH 2, 000. All rates are per person per day

High season rates from 01st July to 29th February

  • Adult foreign nonresidents pay USD 200 whereas children and students of the same status pay USD 50. All rates are per person per day
  • Adult East African Residents pay KSH 4500 whereas children and students of the same status pay KSH 2, 000. All rates are per person per day
  • Adult Kenya citizens pay KSH 4500 whereas children and students of the same status pay KSH 2, 000. All rates are per person per day
